If you haven’t had fennel before: It’s very much like celery, but with a distinct anise (licorice) flavor–it’s zesty and fresh and goes great with sausage or in salads, especially salads that include a sharp cheese and possibly also apples.
When I used to work at a Mexican/Salvadoran restaurant, chile relleno was one of my favorite dishes. Here’s my take on it.
