If you haven’t had fennel before: It’s very much like celery, but with a distinct anise (licorice) flavor–it’s zesty and fresh and goes great with sausage or in salads, especially salads that include a sharp cheese and possibly also apples.
I only have two pictures of this one because I was so focused on getting it together so I could devour it! But two pictures should be all you need to convince you to make this, because it’s amazing.
Even if you think you hate kale, give these a try. They might surprise you.
